NCCCO (CCO) Certifications
The CCO certification family administered by NCCCO: mobile crane operator, rigger, signalperson, and lift director. The operator certification is OSHA-recognized under 29 CFR 1926.1427 and recertified every five years.
Variants
- CCO Mobile Crane Operator
The CCO mobile crane operator certification: a Core written exam plus at least one specialty written exam (LBC, LBT, TLL, TSS) and a practical exam per designation, all passed within 12 months.
- CCO Rigger Level I
The CCO Rigger Level I certification: written and practical exams covering basic rigging, valid five years.
- CCO Rigger Level II
The CCO Rigger Level II certification for advanced rigging work, written and practical exams, valid five years.
- CCO Signalperson
The CCO Signalperson certification: written and practical exams; one accepted way to document the OSHA 1926.1428 signal person qualification through a third-party qualified evaluator.
- CCO Lift Director
The CCO Lift Director certification: a common Core written exam plus a Mobile Cranes or Tower Cranes specialty exam, valid five years.
